Step-by-step first session walkthrough
Step 1: Open the campus map and learn room locations
Press N to display the interior layout showing classroom wings, athletic facilities, the broadcast room, and the third-floor club rooms. Keep your character's hands completely empty while roaming corridors so you avoid dropping valuable items upon an unexpected defeat.
Read the full layout details in our campus map breakdown.
Step 2: Redeem promotional codes for free starter rolls
Open your character's in-game Phone and launch the Codes application. Enter the developer-posted gift codes to immediately receive starter Rerolls and Arrow Shards into your inventory. Never purchase rolls with Robux during your first hour when active promotional codes grant starter currency at zero cost.
Claim active rewards from our verified codes list.
Step 3: Choose and lock in your single campus club perk
Walk to the athletic wing or the third-floor Occult room and join a club to claim its flat 5% perk. If you intend to awaken a Stand, choose Occult Club for a −5% reduction in Stand meter drain; do not pick Fight Club expecting it to boost Stand barrages, because its +5% bonus applies strictly to basic character M1 punches.
Compare all options across the eight club perks.
Step 4: Complete classroom lessons for Yen and popularity
When the campus schedule triggers a class, enter the active classroom and take a desk to participate in lessons. Completing a lesson yields Yen and popularity, with an observed early benchmark yielding 100 Yen and +1 Popularity in test footage.
Explore classroom bonuses and schedules in our daily quests guide.
Step 5: Awaken your first Stand through qualifying combat
Head to the gym or open courtyard with empty hands and engage in a duel. A genuine defeat inflicted by another player triggers an in-game check with a 1/5 (20%) awakening probability on a 60-second cooldown timer. Avoid character resets, jumping from the school roof, or taking fall damage, as none of those actions trigger the awakening check.
Review every requirement across the three routes to a Stand.
Where your money goes and how currency works
Morioh High operates two distinct, non-overlapping economies:
- School economy (Yen and Popularity): Attending class, exploring campus, and participating in extracurricular activities yields Yen and popularity. Yen is the school life currency used for campus amenities. It does not purchase Stand rolls or Stand replacements.
- Supernatural economy (Rerolls, Arrow Shards, and Robux): Rerolling an equipped Stand requires 100 Rerolls or 10 Arrow Shards. Arrow Shards are earned through Occult Club quest completions, combat achievements, and promotional codes. The developer store sells rolls at a flat price of 3 Robux per Roll (1x=3, 50x=150, 100x=300, 250x=750, 500x=1500, 1000x=3000 Robux), with zero bulk discount. Always redeem available free codes before spending Robux on rolls.
Controls and combat resource management
Combat actions draw from a shared 100-point Stand meter:
- Summoning (Z key): Press Z to unseal your Stand. Passive summoning drains 3.4 points per second (reduced to 3.23/sec if you join Occult Club). Pure idle summoning exhausts the pool in approximately 29.4 seconds.
- Barrage (E key): Unleashes rapid strikes, with each registered contact draining 1.9 points from the meter. Standard barrages land 8 hits (15.2 points), while multi-hit Stands land up to 17 hits (32.3 points).
- Skill execution (R key): Triggers your Stand's special technique, consuming a flat 22 points.
- Withdrawal and recovery: Recalling your Stand manually starts regeneration after a 1.5-second delay at 7 points per second, restoring a depleted pool in about 15.8 seconds.
- Lockout warning: Letting the meter reach 0 triggers a mandatory 10-second summon lockout. Disengage and recall your Stand before the bar runs dry. After knocking down an opponent, inspect their wallet and press B to conclude the combat state.
Server mechanics and Stand Arrow rules
Stand Arrows represent the map-wide item route to awakening:
- Server requirements: Arrows only spawn in servers with at least 3 active players, with at most 1 Arrow active on the server map at any single time.
- Despawn timer: When an Arrow spawns, a map notice is broadcast. Players must hold E to pick it up. If an Arrow remains uncollected for 5 minutes, it despawns from the server.
- Compatibility and cooldown: Consuming an Arrow at 100% compatibility guarantees a Stand awakening. Collecting an Arrow places a 30-minute pickup cooldown on your character before you can collect another.
Watch the campus map before you walk it
The video thumbnail above illustrates the dramatic Stand confrontation in the streets, but surviving campus requires navigating the hallways. Pressing N opens the full multi-tier layout: classroom floors, the broadcast booth, the music room, the third-floor Occult room, and the gymnasium. Studying the layout saves ten minutes of wandering between classes.
