Fighting styles in Morioh High

Checked

Do this before spending any rerolls. Open your profile menu, check the Fighting style field directly beneath your Stand name, and read what you currently hold. Styles modify your physical martial moveset, not your Stand barrage.

The three rules

  1. Spin is a fighting style, not a Stand. Despite the game title featuring the tag [SPIN], Spin occupies your fighting style slot. It never replaces or locks your Stand summon.
  2. Styles and Stands occupy separate slots. You carry both simultaneously. A fighting style governs your character punches, while your Stand executes barrages and supernatural skills.
  3. Rarity indicates roll weight, not raw power. Community testers observed Hamon as Epic and Sumo as Uncommon, but higher rarity reflects appearance odds rather than guaranteed victory in combat.

Trap: expecting a fighting style to buff your Stand barrage

The most expensive misunderstanding is rerolling for Hamon or Spin in the belief that they multiply Stand barrage numbers. Fighting styles govern your unsummoned physical attacks and unique martial animations. Your Stand barrage damage is determined exclusively by the Stand you have equipped. Spending currency on styles to fix a weak Stand barrage wastes resources.

What is confirmed

The 18 October 2026 update officially introduced two martial disciplines: Hamon and Spin. Developer communications from launch week placed fighting styles and Stands along parallel knockout-based acquisition channels, with styles also accessible through character profile rerolls.

The video showcase above demonstrates both techniques alongside The Hand. The creator walks through Spin mechanics from 0:00, The Hand at 0:35, and Hamon at 1:59. Its cover art showcases Jonathan Joestar charging Hamon, the green steel Spin sphere, and The Hand manifested behind student avatars. While the creator notes generous light attack reach on Spin and suggests Hamon sits in an Epic tier, these remarks represent gameplay observations rather than developer-published stat sheets.

What was seen in player profiles

Documented player sessions show the Fighting style field displaying several distinct outcomes:

  • Sumo: recorded as an Uncommon result with distinct stance animations.
  • Brawler: recorded as a baseline martial art.
  • Rarity distributions: an early style panel recorded an odds split of Common 65% and Uncommon 35% for that specific build tier.

These observations confirm that fighting styles operate on an independent confirmation screen, though they do not guarantee the full current distribution of the pool.

What stays unknown

  • Drop rates for Hamon and Spin: neither the exact percentage nor pity thresholds have been published by the developers.
  • Direct damage multipliers: recorded panels indicate styles alter physical punch animations and visual effects, but whether Hamon or Spin grant flat percentage damage increases remains unconfirmed.
  • Reroll economy overlap: whether fighting style rerolls draw from the exact same shard inventory as Stand replacements has not been formally specified.

Where you read the real value

Open your character profile screen. Locate the Fighting style slot directly below your Stand indicator. The label and rarity printed on your live interface reflect the active server build, superseding third-party tier lists.
